The Bane of the Bindery: Invercote is the answer.

It is every folder operator’s nightmare: Paper cracking. That ‘special design’ from the graphic artist that had to have the rich reflex blue solid spanning the fold on the cover for the brochure that your favorite client needs in two hours. Prepress laid the job out with the grain along the spine. The humidity was good, but it looks like the digital press ran too hot? Or, not. The press room said there were toner adhesion problems, too.

And yet, It’s still cracking on the folder! It’s cracking. Now it’s even cracking with a letterpress score?

This paperboard doesn’t crack when you fold it, it takes ink marvelously, and embosses like fine leather!
